The great thing about having Pagely handle things for you is you can count on us to make sure your software experience is fast, secure, and current (in that order). This holds true at all layers. Beyond keeping your WordPress apps up to speed, there’s everything else that one might simply refer to as the platform.
This past summer, we began provisioning all new VPS and Neutrino customers with our next generation software stack based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. This is like upgrading to a new version of iOS or upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 10. We’ve upgraded our platform to the latest and greatest!
The biggest news is all that new apps now deploy with PHP 7. That alone makes your dynamic content up to 50% faster. This and our super-tuned NGINX-only mode are now 1-click options in your Atomic account! And we have much more coming soon.
If you’re new-ish to Pagely, you’re already good to go
If you’re one of our long-time VPS customers (and we love that you’re still with us – thank you!) we are going to build you a brand new replacement server and move everything over at no additional cost. Outreach has already started – we’ll be hitting you up soon!
All Neutrino and old-school Shared Server subscribers can get PHP 7 for new app deployments now. Just contact us to get an existing site upgraded ahead of schedule.
You rock!
